Beijing is well-prepared for the arrival of the Winter Olympics. On December 31, the No. 11 branch line of the Winter Olympics was officially opened. Both the interior and exterior of the carriage were made of blue and white. The lighting on the roof of the carriage was designed in the shape of snowflakes blooming, and the handrail at the door was designed in the shape of a hockey stick. The doors of each train are decorated with the Winter Olympics mascot "BingDwenDwen" and the Winter Paralympic mascot "XueRongRong"; the animation of XueRongRong's "performance" is played on the display screen inside the train in the promotional video. Ice and snow elements can be seen everywhere on the train, bringing the atmosphere of the Winter Olympics into the subway.


The Winter Olympics branch line is mainly based on the consideration of the Winter Olympics and was established to serve the Winter Olympics, in addition to providing convenience for the travel of residents in west part of Beijing. It is particularly worth mentioning that the Winter Olympics branch line is the first smart rail transit demonstration line in Beijing, with infrastructure such as smart scheduling, smart operation and maintenance, smart vehicles, and cloud platforms. The subway is also equipped with a visual assistance system for passengers. Passengers no longer need to go to the service desk, but have audio-visual consultation and dialogue with station staff nearby in order to solve problems quickly. At present, the well-received 5G signal has also fully covered the entire line, and the "dialogue" between vehicles and vehicles has been realized, thereby further improving the operation efficiency of the line.
